‘Plant & Play’ at TriCore Panels

Free, hands-on educational experience planned for Women In Construction Week

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA — Tricore Panels, a leading provider of architectural paneling systems in the San Francisco Bay Area, is excited to welcome the community to its 4th Annual “Plant & Play” event in celebration of Women in Construction Week 2026.

The free event will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at TriCore Panels, 2175 De La Cruz Blvd., Santa Clara, CA 95050, and is being held in collaboration with Celebration Nation.

“Plant & Play” offers a fun, hands-on educational experience designed for families and young learners. Participants will be introduced to the basics of programming and will use state-of-the-art CNC technology to fabricate planter boxes they can take home. The event aims to spark curiosity and confidence in construction, technology, and manufacturing—especially among girls and young women.

“Our Plant & Play event is about more than just creating something tangible,” said Misha Homara, President and CEO of TriCore Panels. “It’s about opening doors, inspiring curiosity, and showing the next generation that there is a place for them in construction.”

The event is free and open to the public; however, workshop space is limited. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance by scanning the QR code on the event flyer, visiting 4th Annual Plant & Play 2026

Women remain significantly underrepresented in the construction industry. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, women make up just 10% of the construction workforce, and only about 1% of construction CEOs are women. Homara herself is part of that 1% and remains a strong advocate for change.

“We are passionate about fostering an environment where young people—especially girls—can see themselves as future leaders in construction,” said Homara, who also serves on the Board of Directors for the Silicon Valley chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and as Communications Chair for Women Construction Owners and Executives (WCOE). “By inviting the community to celebrate Women in Construction Week with us, we hope to break down barriers and build up interest in the field.”
